The Lesson Tee
Tip of the month from Currie Park Golf Dome Pros-
This months's tip is provided by George Puchinsky, PGA professional.
George's tip of the month is "How to correctly address the ball in balance."
Most of the golfers that have problems with balance at the address position approach the golf ball first by flexing their knees and sitting down into their heels. I suggest approaching the golf ball first by hinging over at the hips or by hinging over at your waist and then flexing your knees. Your chest will feel like it is over the top of your feet, your weight will then be in the arches and balls of your feet with your arms hanging down from your shoulders. From this athletic ready position you will then have the best chance at using the ground as force to perform the most powerful, repeatable golf swing.
Remember, quality ball strikers start the downswing from the ground and work upwards from there.
